Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need experience to work in removals?

No. Many of our best crew started with no removals experience at all — we provide full training. A good attitude and reliability matter more than a CV.

What licence do I need to drive a removal van?

For most of our vans, a standard full UK category B licence is enough. Larger vehicles need a category C or C+E licence — let us know what you hold when you apply and we’ll match you to a suitable role.

How much do removals jobs pay?

Pay is competitive and reviewed regularly, with the details discussed when you apply — it depends on the role and your experience.

What are the working hours?

Most roles are full-time with early starts, and moving days sometimes run later than planned. We’re always upfront about hours at interview.

Is removal work physically demanding?

Yes — you’ll be lifting, carrying and on your feet most of the day. Reasonable fitness matters, but full training is given on safe lifting and handling.

Do you provide training?

Yes. Every new starter is trained on the job by experienced crew, covering safe lifting, packing and customer care.
